Secretary of State

  • Teitel Service Bureau, Inc. can serve your legal papers to the Department of State and offers flexible service options designed to meet your timeline:
    • Standard Service – 3 to 5 business days
    • Priority Service – 24 to 48 hours
    • Expedited Service – Same day if received before 10:30 AM, or next business day
    • Late Day Rush – Same day service for requests received after 10:30 AM
  • Service on a domestic or foreign corporation qualified to do business in the State of New York requires two copies of documents and a $40 fee payable to the Secretary of State per defendant:
    • 306 of the Business Corporation Law
    • 306 of the Not-for Profit Corporation Law
    • 303 of the Limited Liability Company Law
    • 121-109(a) of the Partnership Law (LP’s)
    • 121-1502 of the Partnership Law (foreign LLP’s)
    • 121-1505 of the Partnership Law (LLP’s)

Service on a foreign corporation not qualified to do business in the State of New York requires one copy of documents and a $40 fee payable to the Secretary of State per defendant:

  • 307 of the Business Corporation Law
  • 307 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law
  • 304 of the Limited Liability Company Law
  • 121-109(b) of the Partnership Law (LP’s)

Service under the Vehicle and Traffic Law requires one copy of documents and a $10 fee payable to the Secretary of State per defendant:

  • 253 of the Vehicle & Traffic Law for service of a motor vehicle action on a nonresident of New York
  • 254 of the Vehicle & Traffic Law for service of a motor vehicle action on a New York resident at the time of the accident, who can no longer be located within New York State (former resident)

Department of Motor Vehicles

Teitel Service Bureau, Inc. can serve your legal papers to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. All Subpoenas must be so ordered.

Attorney General

Teitel Service Bureau can serve your legal papers to The Attorney General and requires one copy of the document being served.

Teitel Service Bureau, Inc. will provide an affirmation of service once served.

Department of Financial Services

Teitel Service Bureau can serve your legal papers to the Department of Financial Services. They require one (1) copy of the action for each authorized insurance company, or (2) copies of the action for each unauthorized insurance company being served and a $40 check made payable to the Department of Financial Services for each insurance company being served.

Please Note: The Department of Financial Services will not accept subpoenas.

New York State Police

Teitel Service Bureau can serve your legal papers to the New York State Police. They require one (1) copy of the action being served and a $30 check for NYS actions or a $50 check for Federal actions made payable to New York State Police for each action being served.

Corporation Service Company

Teitel Service Bureau can serve your legal papers to Corporation Service Company. They require one (1) copy of the action being served, and do not require a separate fee, but will accept a witness fee for subpoenas.
